Chelsea Malia Brown is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and analogue photographer who lives with and creates work about the complexity of chronic and mental health. She grew up on a llama farm and has been drawing since she could first hold a pen.
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, Media and Culture and minor in poetry from the University of Washington, her artwork, writing, and analogue photography have been published and exhibited around the world.
Brown is motivated by the complex feelings that come from existing in a system that only understands healing in a linear context and disregards invisible pain. She hopes that by continuing to create and share work about her experiences, it will help to de-stigmatize chronic and mental health conditions and spread awareness for the reality of living with both.
